Promoting Your Website With Your Car
I've been thinking about inexpensive ways to promote my website. One day I took out an old t-shirt from cafepress.com that I had made for one of my websites. I noticed how conscious I was of people reading my shirt. This is an inexpensive way to get the word out.
Then I started thinking about my car. I already have a license plate that reads “Podcast.” I came across the website www.buidasign.com and they have the ability to make magentic signs, bumper stickers, letters for your cars and more. I checked into it and I could get a 2″ X 18″ sticker for my rear window of my car for under 20 bucks.
Promoting Your Website Via Free Press Releases
I came across a site that has a list free press release sites. The website is http://nakedpr.com/2007/07/29/big-list-of-free-press-release-distribution-sites/ and its from Jennifer Mattern of Naked PR.
In playing with some of the 32 different sites I started to see a pattern.
1. Many of these were nothing but bulletin boards and blogs.
2. Many had tons of advertising, and if they didn't its because they wanted you to upgrade to get stats on your press release and have clickable links.
I originally had gone to www.prweb.com as they had always been free, but apparently not anymore.
One way to submit to these sites is by using the Press Equalizer which is a $97 product that submits your press release to thousands of press contacts. Every time someone uses your press release, you get a link back to your website.
Affiliate Marketing 101
If you have your own product, the question should be do I need an affiliate program, but which one do I choose? You can have products such as eLitus, idevaffiliate, jroxx, put on your from $99 – $275 and THAT'S IT. From that point forward the only time you pay out more money is if you have a sale. The best part is a person who signs up to be an affiliate wants to make money, so they aren't going to sign up unless they think they know people who will buy your product. For more information see our Affiliate Tools in our Link Section
The only down side of having your own affiliate program is you have to spread the word about your program. The alternative would be to join an affiliate network like shareasale.com where people interested in affiliate marketing are already there (although they are more expensive than they used to be costing $550+).
So how do you get the word out about your affiliate program? Well the same people that promote your Press Release also have a product that promotes your affiliate program to different directories. It's called Instant Affiliate Submitter and just like the Press Release Software it costs $97.
The software mentioned in the SEO News was the Internet Business Promoter software.
